San Gabriel Country Club offers its members and guests exceptional golfing and social opportunities. The Board of Directors, along with both the House and Golf Committees, want all who come to San Gabriel Country Club to be comfortable at our club.
ARRIVAL
- Upon arriving at San Gabriel, the parking lot attendant will greet you and direct you to the First Tee. Alternately, you can pull up to the Porte Cochere to drop off your bag at the Bag Rack and use the phone to contact the Starter.
GOLF DRESS CODE:
- The following attire is required for all members, their families, and guests when using the golf course, driving range, practice areas, and grounds:
Tailored slacks, Bermuda styled shorts (no shorter than 4" above the center of the back of the knee) and knickers with knee socks. Shirts are to have collars and be tucked in at all times. No jeans or denim of any color are permitted, nor are cutoffs, cargo shorts or pants, or any type of clothing with printed phrases or slogans, except for golf club, golf company, or course names and logos. Billed hats and visors are to be worn bill forward. Soft spiked golf shoes are required. Sandal style golf shoes, metal-ceramic spiked shoes, and flip flops of any style are prohibited.
Golf skirts and Bermuda styled shorts (no shorter than fingertip length at rest), tailored slacks, and capris, collared shirts with no sleeves or crew neck shirts with sleeves, blouses, and sweaters. Blouses should be long enough to cover the belt line while at rest. No jean or denim of any color are permitted, nor cutoffs, cargo shorts, cargo-style pants, or any type of shirt with printed phrases or slogans. No plunging necklines, workout tops, or bare midriffs will be tolerated. Legging (by themselves with no skirt) will not be permitted. Soft spiked golf shoes are required. Sandal style golf shoes, metal-ceramic spiked shoes, and flip flops of any style are prohibited.
Please DO NOT change shoes in the parking lot. Changing shoes and attire must be done in the men's and women's locker rooms. If you do not have a locker, street shoes may be left in the locker room. You may have a temporary locker assigned for you or your guest.
CLUBHOUSE DRESS CODE:
Acceptable Clubhouse attire at a minimum is Golf Course Attire (please see above). Dress denim is permitted in all areas of the Clubhouse. Dress denim is defined as denim which is in good repair, properly fitting and without stains, rips, or holes.
Shirts must be tucked in unless a straight-cut style or one which is designed to be worn out. Mock Turtleneck collars are accepted. Shorts must be no shorter than 4" above the center of the back of the knee. Men must remove all hats and visors while in any area of the Clubhouse (indoors). Hats and visors are permitted to be won outdoors, including on the grill patio and lounge patio. Billed hats and visors are to be worn bill forward. No hoodies of any kind are permitted in the Clubhouse, other than the pro shop, locker room, Men's Cardroom, Flagstone Patio, and Lounge Patio, and must be Golf-specific hoodies, which are subject to Head Professional review.
Women may wear dresses, blouses, skirts, tailored slacks, or Bermuda shorts. Shorts and skirts must be no shorter than fingertip length at rest. CELL PHONES:
We kindly ask that cell phones be turned off or set on Silent Mode. Cell phones are to be used in the parking lot and locker rooms only.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE:
You are welcome to use all dining and beverage areas throughout the club. Your hosting member will be billed for any Food and Beverage charges. Cash is only accepted at the Snack Bar and Golf Shop. Credit Card payments are accepted only at the Golf Shop.
PACE OF PLAY:
Each group is expected to play in 4 hours or less. Please allow faster groups to play through when possible.
